Roof

Interesting. This was a challenge so it took some time... at first I thought there was no answer.
Then quite a few came.

If with just this little job there is so much choice what about the fine detail of a huge project- which is why in a huge project the fine detail is often missing or "patchy", where some elements are well resolved and elegant and others reveals themselves on site....

Option 1 would be the cheapest as no builder is required. None whatsoever. It would just be the aluminium louvre installation with a glazier. Also it mirrors the neighbour so would be easily accepted. Glass is no good as it would result in heat without good ventilation. TheodoreRoofOption1.jpg

Option 2 TheodoreRoofOption2.jpg

Option 3 TheodoreRoofOption3.jpg

Option 4 is just ok as the hot air will rise. it is a low pitched roof so the roof windows may leak...but fixed glass is not an option. That would result in good conditions I have thus feeling also that the rooms behind rely on ventilation from this space...? TheodoreRoofOption4.jpg
